NEWS -- ECW Elimination Chamber Match Announced
WWE.com is reporting that at a show in Wisconsin, ECW representative Paul Heyman announced to the crowd that the December to Dismember pay-per-view will be main evented by six men in an Extreme Elimination Chamber Match.
The Big Show will defend the ECW Title against Rob Van Dam and four other men. Those participants will be determined in qualifying matches in the coming weeks on the ECW show on Sci-Fi. The first match will happen this Tuesday, according to the article.
In a side note, a full story has appeared on WWE.com confirming that SmackDown and ECW will hold joint house shows starting at the end of December. According to the article, "sources" say WWE officials have been surprised by low attendance at ECW-only house shows.

This is sad. Vince is determined to make ECW a WWE clone or a flop.

Basically the problem is they have fewer resources for the ECW shows. They'll be fine, the house shows will be back. The tv shows will still be around. I don't have a problem with the Chamber. I would prefer not to see it in ECW, but it doesn't destroy anything. ECW is the more serious brand of the three, that's it. It's still a WWE brand.
I agree with Pat and I am one of those who is a fan of the NEW ECW. I think Vince is scared that ECW can't draw on PPV without a huge gimmick... maybe they can and maybe they cannot. But the simple fact remains that who better than ECW branded wrestlers to pull off a Chamber match?
