NEWS -- Vince Russo Rehired by TNA

As reported on various news sites (but not as of this posting at TNAWrestling.com), Vince Russo has been hired by TNA to head up their booking team.

Russo was a writer and on-air personality for TNA during the days of their weekly pay-per-views, and notably feuded with Jeff Jarrett and AJ Styles. He was also the head of the Sports Entertainment Xtreme (SEX) faction for a time.

Russo's writing is considered one of the main reasons for then-WWF's resurgance in the late-90s, though his work in WCW was not well received.

As for the much-talked about major announcement TNA is promoting for the No Surrender pay-per-view, news sites (many of which are linked on this page) are reporting that Russo is NOT the surprise. Rumors continue to run rampant as to that announcement.

LEAVE YOUR COMMENTS on the return of Vince Russo, and what the iMPACT! (pun-intended) will be.

Well....even though Russo bashing ranks between Cena bashing and Stephanie McMahon bashing on the internet, I really think this is a good thing for TNA. If it doesn't work they can go back to what they were doing. If it does...well then good for them. Here's hoping the big surprise is either the signing of Bill Goldberg or New Breed (Remember them? Midcard WCW tagteam with the gimmick of...I'm not making this up...time travelers from a future where Dusty Rhodes was president. Why they chose to use this new time travel technology to become a midcard tag team in WCW is anyone's guess however.) But I digress...
