Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon. Reviewed.

Krazy Kory picked up a copy of WWE's new DVD entitled "Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon." Will he recommend it? Or will he bash it? The only way to find out is take less than five minutes to listen to the Krazy view.

Am I the only one getting a "network error" message when I try to listen to the audio posts? I may be, my internet isn't very reliable...

I got to see some of the DVD yesterday. It really makes you wonder where Brain, and wrestling as a hole, would have gone had the wreck not occurred.

This is one I've had on my list to pick up, and now that it's out I'll probably wait another week or two for my employee discount to kick in. ;)

Pillman is a guy that unfortunately wrestled during a time when the big men were where it was at. He was a vanilla "young gun" babyface for a chunk of his WCW time, but once the Hollywood Blondes kicked in, it was the beginning of showing what a brilliant performer he was. I honestly think that if Brian had lived longer and not had the health problems he did, he's a guy that would have had a top title run eventually in WWF/E. Good worker who had an incredible mind.

A fun story to make an already long post even longer. A friend of mine did a lot of "jobber" work for WWF in the mid to late 90's. One match he had was on Shotgun Saturday Night against Pillman. At a point in the match, Pillman hit him with a DDT, then laid down and pulled my friend on top of him. The ref counted 2 and Pillman threw his shoulder up then looked at him and said "You were this close!" with the hand gestures to show it.

Gotta agree 100% with KK on this one. No need for an audio post from me, because he said it all.

Pillman really was only a name and barely a face for me, but his is really a story of what is so good about wrestling in this day in age, and also what is so bad about it. If Kurt Angle is this time's Flyin' Brian, then he really needs to slow down or stop.
